First Horizon Presents Boys & Girls Clubs with $10,000 Grant

Boys & Girls Clubs of Chattanooga is thrilled to announce the receipt of a $10,000 grant from the First
Horizon Foundation. This grant is part of the Grants for Good Campaign, marking the bank’s 160th
anniversary, and we are honored to be among the 160 recipients selected. The funding will support our
efforts to provide nutritious meals for our school-age members.

Thanks to the generous support from the First Horizon Grants for Good Program, every child attending
our club sites will receive a nutritious evening meal and snack five days a week, Monday through Friday,
along with valuable health and wellness education. In 2024, we anticipate serving 65,000 meals and
snacks to our club members. With the backing of the First Horizon Foundation, Boys & Girls Clubs of
Chattanooga will continue to offer afterschool meals and nutrition education to approximately 4,000
students who attend our clubs, 98% of whom qualify for free or reduced school meals. By leveraging
bulk purchasing and onsite food preparation, we are able to manage food costs effectively, allowing this
$10,000 donation to cover approximately 3,500 meals or 10,000 snacks for our members.
